The 75-Day Rule: Unlocking Lasting Change

Ryan Niddel here, bringing you insights to elevate your business and personal growth. Today, let's dive into a powerful concept that can transform the way you approach learning and development: the 75-Day Rule.

There’s a wealth of behavioral psychology research indicating that most human beings revert to their steady state or original patterns every 75 days or so. Without introducing new stimuli and consistently applying them for a solid 75 days, we naturally slip back to our baseline. Now, baseline isn't necessarily good or bad, but if we aim to grow and improve, we need to actively work to stay above it.

Consider this: you pick up an incredible new book, one that excites you and sparks new ideas. You devour it in two weeks, feeling inspired and ready to implement what you've learned. However, if you don’t consciously apply those new concepts daily for the next 75 days, your brain will default back to its old patterns. The neurons that fire together, wire together. You must create new neural synaptic patterns to ensure this fresh knowledge becomes a permanent part of your conscious and subconscious mind.

This principle isn't just about reading books; it applies to every aspect of your personal and professional life. Whether you're adopting a new business strategy, learning a new skill, or working on self-improvement, the key is consistency. Every day, for 75 days, engage with the new material, practice the new skill, or implement the new strategy. This sustained effort creates lasting change and prevents the backslide into old habits.

With that, I challenge you, Business Builders, to take the 75-Day Commitment. Choose one new stimulus – a book, a course, a habit – and dedicate yourself to it for the next 75 days. Track your progress, stay accountable, and watch as you break free from old patterns and achieve new heights.

Stay tuned for more insights in our next newsletter. Remember, it's the small adjustments that often make the biggest impact on your business's profitability. Here's to your continued success!

Stay driven to push your business forward,
