Energy Is Contagious—Use Yours Intentionally

We all bring something into the room with us—whether we realize it or not. Our energy. Our presence. Our attitude. It all contributes to the collective environment we’re building. The question is: are you bringing fuel… or friction?

Culture isn’t just created by what we say or do—it’s also created by how we show up. When you walk into a meeting, when you check in with a colleague, when you respond to stress—you are modeling behavior. That modeling either reinforces the kind of culture we want… or erodes it.

At MIT45, we’ve committed to being intentional with energy. We’re not chasing artificial positivity. We’re chasing grounded intensity. Clarity. Ownership. People who take responsibility not just for what they do, but how they do it.

There’s a huge difference between reacting and responding. One is unconscious. The other is deliberate. When you bring intention to your energy, you become a thermostat instead of a thermometer. You don’t just reflect the environment—you help set it.

That’s real leadership. And it’s available to every single person on the team.

When things go sideways—and they will—the question isn’t, “Who messed up?” It’s, “What energy do we need right now to move forward?” The leaders who thrive are the ones who know how to show up with calm, focused momentum even when the pressure’s on.

So here’s the challenge: audit your energy. Track what you’re bringing into conversations, into problem-solving, into your own calendar. Are you amplifying the culture you want? Or are you feeding stress, drama, or passivity?

You don’t need to be perfect. But you do need to be intentional.

The culture will rise—or fall—to the level of energy we each bring. Make yours count.
