There have been years where my business has grown to a level I couldn’t have fully anticipated in a short amount of time - where we were unquestionably on that trajectory to make $100 million a year.
This growth didn’t happen because we doubled down on complexity or found some magic formula. The truth? It happened because I got laser-focused.
As CEOs and leaders, we often feel like we need to wear every hat and touch every corner of the business. But that’s not how you scale. When I was at the helm of a $50 million company, I was involved in everything. And that worked—until it didn’t.
Then, when I was the leader of a company pushing $75–78 million, focus became my superpower. It’s about clarity of purpose, clarity of priorities, and clarity of execution. For me, that meant automating, delegating, and building systems that allowed me to step out of the weeds and into the role of visionary.
Take MiT45 as an example. It’s as automated as a business can possibly be. I don’t need to be involved in the day-to-day, and that’s the point. My role isn’t to manage the machine—it’s to build it, fine-tune it, and point it toward our next milestone.
So, what’s the lesson here for you? Simple: The more focused you are, the faster you grow.
Focus on automating what doesn’t need your touch. Focus on delegating to people who can do the job better than you. And most importantly, focus on leading the way—because when you step into that space, you open the door for exponential growth.
