When it comes to achieving significant media placements, like being featured in Forbes, the journey doesn’t start at the top. It begins with the basics. Here’s a step-by-step approach to mastering the art of media exposure, using pattern recognition to elevate your strategy.

1. Start with Tier 3: Local PR

To build a strong foundation, you need to begin with tier 3—local public relations. This involves securing local media placements and gaining recognition within your community. This is where you lay the groundwork by establishing credibility and building your presence. Start with smaller, manageable goals like local interviews, features in community newsletters, or local blog mentions. These initial efforts create a platform upon which you can build more significant achievements.

2. Progress to Tier 2 and Tier 1:
Once you’ve established a local presence, you can gradually move up to tier 2, which involves regional or industry-specific media. As you gain traction and visibility, your efforts at this level will stack upon the successes you achieved locally. This progression naturally leads to tier 1—national and high-profile media placements like Forbes. 3. Innovate with Pattern Recognition
